Here is a quick little video on how to update Joomla 1.6.x to Joomla 1.7.

The process takes a few minutes to download the new version from the Joomla.org website so please be patient.

It is also worth noting that the fOpen php function needs to be enabled on your web server in order for it to download the xml update files from the Joomla.org servers. If fOpen is turned off for what ever reason you will not be able to do the simple one click upgrade for Joomla.

Creating a new form in RSForms for Joomla is quite easy. It helps to have your form elements planned before you start creating the form in RSForms to make the process easier. There are just a few steps to take into account before setting up a form.

When creating the form there are a few main elements to think about:

  1. Form elements, the form fields and function of the form
  2. Thank you messages
  3. User emails, email that gets sent to the user upon finishing the form
  4. Admin emails, email that gets to an administrator email address when a user finishes submitting a form
  5. Return URL for the user.

Once you know these main elements for the form, you can start creating your form.

Remember, planning this process will make the process quicker and will stop you from missing steps in the process.
