Creating categories in the backend admin area of DocMan helps for the organization of all the files.
To create a new category in the DocMan category structure, navigate to it via the main menu in the admin area.
Components > DocMan > Categories
Click on Add
Then fill in the form details with the appropriate information that is needed to populate the new category.
Category title and name can be identical and in most cases more helpful.
Parent item is required if the new category is a sub category of an existing category. Find the appropriate category and select it.
Once done, hit the SAVE icon and your category has been created.
